He has no name, but has spent nearly two weeks trembling in his kennel at the city shelter in Kansas. Brought in as a stray on December 18, his heartbreaking intake photo showed him lying on the floor too scared to even move. Even more tragic is that every day since, he continues to tremble. What did someone do to this poor guy to cause such fright?

We cannot imagine how crippling his fear must be or what he is feeling. He was not a candidate for the Kansas Humane Society adoption floor and was on the schedule for euthanasia this morning.”

Beauties and Beasts, Inc Facebook

Earlier today, the non profit animal rescue organization, Beauties and Beasts, Inc sent out a request for extra time to network for placement with a rescue, foster or direct adopter. The shelter is dangerously overcrowded at this time, and many lives are in danger and risk for euthanasia.

The staff at the shelter are hoping that rescues, fosters and adopters will help save them before they have to make the difficult decisions and pull the dogs who have been there for the longest periods of time in order to make room for new intakes.
