In Lawrenceville, Georgia, three-year-old Lilo has a heartbreaking story to share. The beautiful Great Pyrenees had been an emotional support dog for a cancer survivor and an autistic child. Lilo had been very devoted to her two male humans, but when the human female in the home decided Lilo shred too much and occasionally barked when her favorite humans left the home, the dog was no longer welcome.
Paws & Starts Animal Rescue described the situation as one heart break after another, and no matter how much they tried, Lilo was surrendered.
Lilo is sweet, house trained, great with children and other dogs. She loves car rides and walks.
The rescue organization wants potential adopters to be familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed;
“The Great Pyrenees is a calm, well-mannered, serious dog known for his great devotion to family, including well-behaved children. These dogs are generally trustworthy, affectionate and gentle, but if the need arises, they will not hesitate to try to protect their family and their territory. They usually weigh over 100lbs and do require grooming and brushing as they shed. The breed needs plenty of exercise, otherwise they will try to get out of their yard and start to roam. If you would like to meet Lilo, please send us a message in order to receive an application. She will be available soon after her spay. We only meet with pre approved applicants after an application was submitted.”
Please share Lilo’s story; someone will surely make this pup an amazing human companion and help her forget the loneliness she is experiencing now.
