A handsome, gray-faced senior dog is in need of a new family after being “pushed out” of his former home because of a child. On Wednesday afternoon, the Washington state based non-profit agency, Old Dog Haven, wrote:

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven HOME NEEDED (in W. WA. or Portland, OR only): Neutered male boxer/whippet mix, whom we are told weighs 55 pounds. This sweet fellow is feeling pushed out of family life by a new child; he is very social and likes to interact with dogs and people so this has made him very sad.

The animal welfare agency shared his medical issues:

He has some kidney disease developing and some GI issues, his hearing is declining, but he is still pretty mobile and really wants to be an active part of a family with enough attention.

This social senior is said to be good with cats, dogs and people. If you are interested in completing an application to bring him to your home, please click this link.
