A 15-year-old dog named Goliath finds himself at an animal shelter in Oregon, waiting for someone to choose him to be part of their family. On Friday, the Marion County Dog Services Facebook page posted an image of Goliath, writing:

Meet Goliath. This sweet senior (he’s about 15 years young!) was brought to our shelter and no one came to claim him. That’s heartbreaking BUT maybe it means there’s another family who wants to spoil him crazy for the rest of his life.

Goliath likes short walks through the park, long naps and lots of treats. And this handsome guy will impress you with his knowledge of commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “shake.”

Explaining why Goliath should be considered, even though he is a senior dog:

The thought of adopting such a senior dog is scary for a lot of potential adopters. We get it. But does that mean that just because he’s old, Goliath should have to remain in a shelter? We don’t think so, either!
