The staff at the RSPCA’s Cats and Dogs Home in Bath are hoping to find a home for an “affectionate” pooch named Sue. Thus far, she has been overlooked by visitors and would-be-adopters. Sadly, Sue has watched 941 dogs find their new homes while she never gets to leave the shelter.
According to the shelter, Sue was rescued from the area in August 2017. For most of her life she has lived at the shelter and yes, she has made many friends. In 2018, she had been adopted, but through no fault of her own had to be returned. It’s just that no one understands why Sue has not found a home, and now on the anniversary of her fourth year at the shelter, her friends and fans hope that her future includes a loving home.
Sue does have a few behavioral issues which the shelter has been addressing. She can get overexcited and can become “mouthy”, but her trainers are successfully helping her to cope with her enthusiasm. She’s extremely affectionate, loves to meet new friends, knows many of her commands and can easily be left alone for short periods of time.
What kind of family would best suit Sue? She would likely do best as the only dog in a home, would prefer adults only and would love for her new human to be around for most of the time until she feels more confident. She will also need a secure yard and perhaps a quiet place to sleep and dream.
