A forgotten soul has been waiting for someone to take him home from a New York animal shelter for over three years. The dog, named Sir, has been at the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter since October 2017. Days, turned into weeks, then months and now years…and still Sir waits for someone to choose him.
Sir has his own Facebook page, and earlier this month, a post detailing his many attributes was created:
He is an avid lover of the agility course, walks well on a leash, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. At the close of every day Sir loves to get on his bed and cuddle up with a good blanket for the night.
Sir is around 6 years young, weighs 62 pounds, is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative.
The shelter wants to see Sir adopted to an adult-only home, with no other pets. He is available through “rescue only” because of resource guarding issues (read more here).
Will you help Sir find a home? Please share his information to help him find “the one” who will be perfect for him!
