In Miami Gardens, Florida, the crowds cheered, and it wasn’t just for the Miami vs. Appalachian State football game at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday. A stray kitty caught one of her paws off the upper deck during the first quarter of the game, and it was the fans who figured out how to save her life – quickly!
According to TMZ, the scared cat had accidentally fallen over from the deck and had been holding on by her two front paws, and then one paw. Slipping away was inevitable; she was so scared she urinated while hanging on for her life. Fans tried to reach down and rescue her, but the cat was terrified:
“They were trying to grab it from above and they couldn’t reach it but they were scaring it downward. It hung there for a little while with its two front paws, then one paw, then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s coming soon.”

And that’s when Craig and his wife Kimberly unhooked the American flag they bring to the games, from the ties they use to keep it on the railing. Yes, you’re correct – the scared cat’s paw let loose, and she fell onto the flag which broke her fall.
Before being carried away, a group of Hurricane fans picked up the terrified feline and held her up to the stadium – Simba style – from the Lion King story. The petrified kitty was none too pleased with her presentation to spectators as she tried to claw the person holding her.
Fortunately, the cat was not injured, and the Cromers were fine as were the other spectators. It is not known what happened to the cat. All we really know is she was terrified.
We’re glad you saved her everyone, but gee – show some compassion and be kind.
