A Southwest Florida family’s pet bull was slaughtered by someone who trespassed onto private property and killed him, likely for meat. According to WINK News, the 1800-pound bull, named Johnny, had the demeanor of a friendly dog, which makes his death even harder to accept.
His owner, Alex Solenberg, tells the news agency:
“He was bottle raised from a calf. He was loved like a pet. He had the disposition of like an 1,800-pound dog.”
The family wants to know who is responsible for Johnny’s death. On December 30, Solenberg reached out via social media, writing:

Our PET bull, Johnny, was shot and butchered off of Daniels and SR 82 last night. If anyone knows ANYTHING about this PLEASE let us know. We’re heartbroken.
