A Pennsylvania family’s family was fatally injured on the night before Christmas Eve when someone targeted the feline with an arrow. The Carroll Valley Police Department recounted the details of the cruel incident, writing:

This is Chuck. Chuck was out for a walk on December 23rd, the day before Christmas Eve, when someone shot Chuck with an arrow. Chuck was able to get back to his family at his home at 24 Crossland Trail in Carroll Valley, dragging the arrow still lodged in his abdomen. His family rushed Chuck to a vet hospital, but the damage was too great and Chuck died of his wound.

Chuck’s family spent the holiday mourning their pet’s unexpected, cruel demise, and wondering who was responsible for killing him.

The authorities are taking this cruelty case seriously, and are hopeful that a member of the public will have information to help bring justice to the family. The agency writes:

Carroll Valley Police are investigating this as a felony under the ‘Aggravated Cruelty to Animal’ law. If you have any information on Chuck’s killing, please contact us here on Facebook or call the office at 717-642-8269 ext. 180. All calls will be kept confidential. Someone has the information to help us solve this case. The Adams County SPCA and the Carroll Valley Constable’s Office are all offering rewards for information leading the identification and arrest of the person responsible. Help us bring this felon to justice for Chuck.

Please share this information to help find the person responsible.
