A Wayne County, Kentucky, family got Christmas early when their daughter’s stolen puppy was found and returned. The “Chiweenie” was stolen from the Gregory family’s home on November 30 and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office had been utilizing social media to help the family bring their pet back home.

A reward fund to find the pup, named Oakley, had climbed to $1,000. The family wanted their pet back “no questions asked.” And then, yesterday Oakley was back. On Thursday, a man came to the family’s door on Thursday and told them that he saw their dog in the yard. The man ran away, but sure enough, there was Oakley in the yard.

As reported by WKYT News, it is unclear who took the puppy – but now she is home, safe and sound.
