A young dog named Lucy had her world turned upside down by her own family. The year-and-a-half-old dog had lived with her family since she was a tiny puppy, but they recently got a new dog and conflict in the house resulted in her being surrendered to an animal shelter.

On Saturday, the Wakulla Animal Services facility explained what happened, writing:

“Lucy” walked in to the shelter today with her owners and watched in confusion and distress as they walked out without her. Lucy’s owners brought a new dog into the house and Lucy had a hard time adapting, so she now finds herself homeless.

Adding:

She has been with the same people since she was 4 weeks old and is now 1.5 years, so she is very stressed and shy at the shelter.

The facility provided adoption information for this beautiful girl:

She is a smaller dog, around 25 lbs. If you would like to meet Lucy and give her the forever home that she deserves, please call the shelter at (850)-926-0902.

    SMH: I can’t believe it!!!!!

These POSs have never heard of DOG training???

    WTF is wrong with them???

They could have had both their dogs trained to interact with their family life,

I hope someone local can open their heart and home for this precious treasure.

Felt pain and despair for Lucy, find it extremely hard to comprehend that some humans have no empathy or compassion for their pet who has been with the family practically since birth, disgusted with these humans, sending a prayer for Lucy to be blessed with a loving family and a forever home.
