An elderly dog, and her middle-aged friend, are in need of a new home after their owner surrendered them to an animal control facility in Texas. On Monday afternoon, a plea on behalf of the bonded dogs was posted to social media:
Angel 47565063 is 12 years old, 64 pounds, spayed, and heartworm pending. She is missing an eye, abnormal gait, possible limping on rear left leg, and severe dental tartar. Luna 47565025 is 7 years old, less than 10 pounds, spayed, and heartworm pending.
Adding a personal note about how the dogs need to find a home together:
I met them when they were owner surrendered on 4/17 with 2 senior cats. Angel is friendly and Luna is scared. She came in a kennel that had dog food all over it .. must be adopted or rescued together!

This is so heartbreaking…… there were 4 senior furbabies dumped @ the shelter by the former owners…… 2 cats & 2 dogs…… wtf are these former owners thinking? Do they honestly think that there are lines of potential adopters for senior furbabies???
I hope these precious treasures are able to be rehomed….. it breaks my heart to think of senior furbabies being euthanized @ the shelter: alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….
