An elderly dog, 16 years of age, has been waiting at a busy California animal shelter for someone to come forward to claim her. But no one seems to be interested in bringing this senior girl home.

Her name is Missy, and she was taken in at the Carson Animal Services facility as a stray. On Monday morning, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page posted a video of Missing and shared the following information:

Sweet MISSY came in at the beginning of August and was waiting for her owner to come. They still haven’t shown up for her and now this beautiful, sweet senior needs help out of the Shelter. Please SHARE for her life, she’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her.

Very few people go to animal shelters in search of dogs who are in the twilight of their life. Missy could use a helping hand to find someone who is willing to give her a soft bed to sleep in for the rest of her days.
