In Chester, United Kingdom, a dying woman was given a chance to say goodbye to her cherished pets from her hospital bed – a horse and two dogs. Jan Holman, 68, was given one more opportunity to be with her two King Charles Spaniels – Monty and Rowley and her horse named Bob.

According to Metro, Holmes had been moved to the Hospice of Good Shepherd a month ago, but before that time had been riding Bob daily who she regarded as “such an important part of my life.” The kind staff at the hospice wheeled Jan up to the patio doors as the horse’s attendants walked him over.

Photos showed Jan and Bob nuzzling together with pure horse love as he is fed carrots and bananas by Jan from her bed. And then came the two dogs who sat on her bed and reminded all of us how precious life is.

Jan’s husband of 46 years was truly touched as the hospice had reunited other dying patients with their dogs before, but allowing Bob to come over and visit one last time with Jan was heartwarming.
