Ten days ago, the owner of a three-year-old friendly pooch surrendered him to the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control because his dog escaped from the man’s yard and suffered severe puncture wounds and deep cuts. The owner told the shelter he could not afford veterinary treatment.

Blanco (48088936) weighs 49-pounds, is not neutered and heartworm negative. According to his owner, the dog lived with children and was mostly an outdoor pet.

When examined at the shelter, the veterinary tech noted Blanco had swelling and edema in his rear leg, behind his ear and a hard knot in the groin area.

This poor dog is a mess, and he just needs help. Please share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. He is available for adoption, foster or rescue

Adoptions must be done in person. Do not call the shelter. All rescue tags must be sent via EMAIL: [email protected]
This animal is located at Fort Worth Animal Care and Control/Chuck Silcox Adoption Center, 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth Texas 76119.
