A five-year-old dog named Enzo is searching for a forever home after his last adopter dumped him back at the shelter when things didn’t work out. Enzo has a troubling history…he was held at the Miami-Dade Animal Services facility with his life-long bonded friend, but left behind when that friend was rescued. Then Enzo was adopted, and returned, and adopted again, and returned yet again.

History keeps repeating itself for this unlucky pooch. Rescue Me Miami outlines Enzo’s unfortunate adoption history:

7/30 DUMPED BACK! The adoption counselors FAILED to tell the adopter he was big dog friendly not small dog!

ENZO AKA HULK was #ADOPTED 7/24💕
Praying it’s to a loving FOREVER home this time

ADOPTED 5/17 and DUMPED BACK 6/17! NOW AT THE SHELTER AND URGENT!

5/4 DUMPED BACK BY HIS ADOPTER! NOW URGENT AS OF 5/13!

Adopted 3/13 praying it was to a kind human

This makes me sick! 😡💔

He was part of a BONDED PAIR left behind by a rescue!💔

With a sad description of how Enzo’s friend left without him:

I was part of a bonded pair. We spent our entire lives together as litter mates up until we were 5 years old. A rescue took my BFF and left me behind. I will never see my best friend again.

Enzo obviously needs to be adopted to a family without small dogs…or perhaps a family with no other pets would be better. Most of all, he needs to be adopted to someone who will be fully committed to giving him a forever home. Please share Enzo’s adoption information!

  1. Why would a rescue take one of the dogs and not another. They of all people should know bonded dogs most likely won’t do well without each other. I’m so sorry Enzo, you were dealt a bad hand I hope you find a loving family. Maybe whoever adopted his sibling should be contacted and see if they could take in another.
