A dog is said to be “absolutely exhausted” after becoming tangled in a tether…possibly for weeks. The sad situation was recounted by the West Memphis Animal Shelter on Friday morning.
The animal welfare agency writes:
Contessa was found in deplorable conditions by the West Memphis Police Department. From what we were told, Contessa may have been entangled by the blue tether for several weeks. We are actively investigating this situation in an effort to find out who is responsible. Contessa is grossly under way, understandably fearful, and absolutely exhausted.
