On Wednesday evening, the Pennsylvania State Police in Corry notified the ANNA Shelter Animal Cruelty Division for help with a dog abandoned and waiting on the side of the road. The dog was left with a blanket in the rural area and was wearing two muzzles.

Shelter staff members arrived at the location and stated the dog didn’t want to leave his blanket, and although he was terrified when approached, he didn’t try to run away either. And so they lured the hungry pooch over to them with some chicken McNuggets.

“…Emily was able to coax him over where he was loop leashed and put safely into the vehicle. Our founder/director, Ruth, met the girls back at the shelter last night and assisted Dr. Ziegler with his immediate triage to find he has no injuries, but is emaciated and dehydrated.

An unknown person put two muzzles on this dog and left him sitting on a blanket on the side of the road. He was wearing a collar but had no tags or microchip. Does anyone recognize this dog?

As of now, he is resting comfortably but is terrified. He is currently receiving fluids and has been placed on a special diet required for dogs who are so emaciated and not accustomed to eating regularly.

Please share this boy’s photos with rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Let’s help this boy get some justice; who could be so mean as to abandon a dog like this? Anyone with information can call (814) 451-0230 or email [email protected].
