A cuddly cat named Ozzy has lost his home and family. The fluffy, orange cat was surrendered to the Ten Lives Club shelter in Western New York, who explains what happened in a Thursday morning Facebook post:

Ozzy needs your help! He was surrendered this morning due to a change in his household. He is 5 years old, very overweight and is shy at first so we know he will not do well in shelter life.

Ozzy’s former owners have said that Ozzy lived peaceably with other cats and small dogs, and that he loves to cuddly and sleep with his person all day.

The shelter writes:

Just in the few hours he’s been at the shelter, he’s been shy but loves being held. Ozzy’s adoption fee will be waived in lieu of a donation and he will be sent home with a year supply of special weight management food as well as a year supply of litter.
