Byron Police asking for public’s help finding culprit who abused young Lab puppy

In a press release on Tuesday, the City of Byron Department of Police located in Georgia have reached out to the public for help finding the culprit(s) who abused a young dog. According to authorities, the young dog was found on October 6, 2021 in the area of the Byron Middle School and had been shot several times.

In addition, the puppy suffered severe burns to her back. The young chocolate Labrador retriever mix has been treated by Critter Fixer, and thanks to the skill and compassion of the veterinarian and staff, the pup is expected to recover.

“We are asking for the public’s help in locating the person or persons responsible for the cruelty that was done to this animal. If anyone has seen a dog like this in the Byron area or has any information about this case, we are asking that you please contact the police department at 478.956.2493.”

A reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for such egregious cruelty.
