Busch Beer is searching for one special pup to work as their Chief Tasting Officer for the beer brand’s Dog Brew, which was launched last year. The position comes with a $20,000 annual salary, healthcare and stock options. No, and I am not kidding!
In the recruitment video, the “Busch Guy” interviews dogs applying for the job.
“It will be your sole responsibility to shepherd the great taste of Busch, research new flavors, take on pet projects. Your bark will have to be as good as your bite.”
The position includes leading the expansion of Dog Brew’s flavor portfolio, taste-testing and serving as ambassador for the product.
Dog owners are encouraged to submit their dogs photos and qualifications with the hashtag#BuschCTOcontest.
“In order to get the job, your pup needs to possess a refined palate, an outstanding sense of smell, and must be a ‘very good boy or girl,'” the statement about the position states.
The dog brew was released in August and sold out that same day. It is available in a pack of 12 oz canes, the drinkable bone broth is made with bone-in pork butt, whole corn, celery, basil, mint, turmeric and ginger.
Daniel Blake, VP of Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch released the following statement:
After a long day, there’s nothing quite like having a Busch with a friend, and with so many new pet owners across America this year, we wanted to create a brew to give our fans a chance to share a Busch brew with their ‘best friend.”
In addition, the company donated $1 for each of the following causes up to $50,000:

- Midwest Animal Rescue & Services
