Thanks to the New York Police Department Special Ops, a wild goose who had mistakenly waddled into a fenced area near W. 92nd Street building on Thursday night was able to be safely released.

In a Twitter video, two big-hearted police officers heard the goose honking for help after a concerned citizen called 911. In the video, the one officer donned a heavy glove and reached into the area where the frightened bird was caught and wiggled his feather friend back and forth to release him. Maybe the bird was a bit disgruntled to say the least – as his wings flapped furiously.

Check out the video.

“You’re all right … you’re ok,” the officer told the bird. “Yeah… you’re a good boy.”

And a happy ending of of course! The goose was taken across the street and released into Central Park.
