Badly neglected senior dog at animal services facility in Texas

A badly neglected, senior dog is in need of help. The 10-year-old miniature poodle is at the Dallas Animal Services facility in Texas, and he needs to be adopted or sent to a rescue group.

On Friday, the OPCA Shelter Network Alliance Facebook page posted the senior dog’s image, and a plea for help:

*** 10+ Year Old SENIOR ALERT!!! ***

My Name is A1127015. I am described as Male (Neutered), White Miniature Poodle. The shelter thinks I am about 10 years old. I have been at the shelter since August 06, 2021.

Unfortunately, it is apparent that this dog has not seen much in terms of care for far too long. Will you please help him find a reputable rescue group, or committed adopter, by sharing his adoption information?

Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Oh, hello! I’m so excited that you’re checking out my profile! I’ve had so many interesting adventures lately, but I’m really looking forward to settling down with a new family. DAS has been exciting too, and I’m still getting to know my new friends here. Do you know how HUGE this place is? There are so many new smells and people to check out! Anyway, now that you’re here to get to know more about me, I should tell you three things:

1. You haven’t lived until you’ve tasted peanut butter. It’s this crazy, sticky stuff that tastes sugary and salty at the same time. Lucky you, though, I’m exactly the dog to introduce you to it if you haven’t tried it before!
2. I hog the bed. I admit it! But honestly, that just means we can snuggle closer, right?
3. I never lose at tug-o-war. Don’t believe me? Click that “Adopt Me” button and I’ll prove it!
