In Salt Lake City, authorities want to find the man who purposely set a dog on fire near Intersection 80 on Monday. The female red tick heeler suffered second degree burns to her face and coat and is currently being treated.
According to the Salt Lake County Animal Services, the dog was wearing a brown leather collar, but there were no tags nor was she microchipped. A witness described the suspect as a white male with a shaved head, six-feet in height and wearing Dickies pants and a fluorescent green shirt with an orange stripe.
The suspect’s vehicle has been described as a green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck identified with a partial license plate reading as “Q”or “K”42. Anyone with information on this dog is asked to contact Dispatch at 801-840-4000 or email [email protected].
