Authorities searching for whoever drowned and dumped litter of puppies in Oregon

Authorities in Tillamook County, Oregon, are seeking information about a terrible act of animal cruelty which claimed the lives of five puppies who appeared to have been drowned. On Sunday, the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office released information about the investigation, writing:

September 5, 2021 – 11:20 am
Our local LEO partners from the Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division have asked for assistance in identifying a suspect, or suspects, in a case they are working this morning.
OSP Troopers Chuck Reeder and Aaron Miller are currently investigating the killing and illegal dumping of five puppies.

According to the authorities, the puppies were all female, German shepherd mixes, approximately 8 to 10 weeks of age. The sheriff’s department explains that they appeared:

to have been drowned and found piled together, soaking wet, near the logging gate on Frasier Rd. They range in color from black to tan and white. Troopers believe that the pups were killed and dumped sometime late last night or early this morning.
