In Burton, Michigan, authorities are asking for help identifying the owner of a dog rescued early Thursday morning. According to Sweethearts Animal Rescue, the puppy was transported to Veterinary Medical Hospital.
No one knows where this dog came from; he was found in the morning dragging himself, trying to get underneath a piece of carpet on the side of Cheryl Ann Drive near Atherton Road.
Now identified by name as Bode, (Pappy) the emaciated pooch is severely dehydrated and suffering from frostbite. There appears to be a lump on his neck and he likely suffers from heartworms.
After his stray hold, it is hoped an approved rescue can take him under their wing. If interested, please call 810.922.3248.
