Denver, Colorado – An arthritic, albeit “young at heart” 15-year-old dog is in need of a “fospice” home to spend the rest of her days in. On Friday morning, Cayleb’s Kindred Senior Dog Rescue posted photos of Bea, and issued a plea for help, writing:

Bea needs a fospice home with no stairs due to her arthritis and hind-end weakness. She occasionally needs help getting up when she’s very tired, but at only 45lbs she’s pretty maneuverable. While she is used to being left alone for up to 12 hours a day in her previous home, she would really love to find a family who is home more often. She is excellent with cats and dogs, but hasn’t been around children before and due to her arthritis young children are probably not a good match.

The rescue group says that Bea is the “sweetest girl,” and though she is elderly, she still has a bit of spunk:

At 15 years old she’s definitely an elderly lady, but she is the very definition of “young at heart”. She’ll even try some bouncing in the morning, when she can’t contain her excitement at seeing you. She loves to give kisses and sleep next to your bed at night.

Can you help?
