In San Francisco, Sarah Vorhaus had been walking her two dogs in Russian Hill on Tuesday evening when she was attacked by four armed thugs who assaulted at gunpoint. The suspects stole her five-month-old French bulldog puppy.
According to the SFGate, Sarah had been walking her eight-year-old Shiba Inu and Chloe, the French bulldog puppy along Hyde Street in the Russian Hill area just a few blocks from her home when the frightening incident occurred. As Sarah bent over to clean up after the puppy’s bathroom break, a man dressed in a hoodie and a black face mask approached her and ordered her to give him her puppy.
As the woman turned around to flee, the man repeated the order, shoved a gun in front of her face and punched her two times. He then grabbed the puppy’s leash, put her in the car and took off.
“I started screaming as loud as I’ve ever screamed in my entire life. My nose was gushing blood. Apparently, someone on Nextdoor posted that a woman is screaming bloody murder outside.”
Eyewitnesses saw the last part of the attack against Sarah as the assailants took off in a car. They called 911 and rushed over to help. The woman was taken to the hospital and is now recovering.
Police have not released any details of the sedan or the suspects, but it is believed two other men were outside of the vehicle when the dog was stolen and a fourth person had been the driver.
