A homeless dog in Fort Worth, Texas, is longing for affections, but nobody seems to want to give him the love that he desires. The dog, named Shadow, has been at the Fort Worth North Animal Campus for over 158 days…in fact, he is the facility’s longest resident. Shadow has had his hopes raised, and then dashed, multiple times.

Networkers reveal:

Found as a stray 12/22, adopted 12/27, returned 12/30, adopted 1/3, returned 1/6.

How confused must Shadow be? Love and security have been dangled in front of him numerous times, but the joy is always short lived.

A bit of information has been provided about his personality:

He is friendly and good on leash. High energy in the yard and has done mostly well with other dogs. Can become overwhelmed with dogs who are all over him, but has not caused any altercations. Enjoys running and wrestling. Would make a good running or hiking buddy.

Previous adopter states does well with kids younger and older, did good with his German shepherd, knows basic commands, housetrained, and playful. Loves to play fetch.

Shadow is not “urgent” and needs to be rescued as soon as possible.
