Earlier this week, the Richmond Animal Care and Control agency in Virginia reached out to the public for help after the discovery of two dumped dogs found within two miles of each other. The animal welfare agency detailed the cases and asked for assistance.

On 11/21 this dog was found in critical condition on the 700th block of Dawn Street; brindle pit mix, young intact male wrapped in a blanket in a plastic bin.

The other dog, a tan and white pit bull mix, was found on 11/23 on the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Ave. The dog was deceased and was left inside of a crate that had been placed near a dumpster.

The animal control agency stated:

Any and all information you can provide would be of help to our investigation team. Do you recognize these dogs? Please call 646-5573, email [email protected] or call/message Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers for anonymity. No information is too small or insignificant. Please help. Thank you!

The animal control agency initially stated that they were working to save the young dog that was wrapped in the blanket and left in the plastic bin. A comment posted on the same post later confirmed that the pup had passed away.
