In Coveta County, Georgia, an alleged home intruder was mauled to death by the homeowner’s dogs according to investigators from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

According to WrdwNews, the homeowner returned home and found Alex Abraha deceased on the front porch. The medical examiner with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation ruled Abraha’s death the result of mauling.

The homeowner did not know the man nor had he been expecting anyone to come to his home. Abraha did not have a vehicle, and it is not known how he arrived at the home. Authorities believe Abraha had broken into the home and encountered the dogs. Prior to his death, Abraha had warrants out for his arrest in Fulton County.

No charges will be filed against the homeowner, although his dogs have been turned over to animal control.

It is not known what will happen to the dogs.

The investigation continues.

  1. The dogs should be given back to the owner. The guy was obviously there for no good. The dogs protected their property.
