On Monday morning, a Kentucky animal shelter made an exciting announcement about an ailing, skeletal dog who had been dumped it its parking lot days ago – he is still alive! The Kentucky Humane Society shared the promising news with Facebook fans eagerly hoping for good news about the dog, who has been dubbed Ethan:
ETHAN UPDATE: Ethan made it through another night! We believe his chances of survival are still just 50/50, so every day he is with us is a miracle.
Adding:
We are seeing less head bobbing and leg paddling, which are good signs. Thank you to everyone who is rooting for Ethan! Your thoughts, prayers, and donations mean so much!

Our KHS veterinarian Dr. Bewley also works as an emergency veterinarian at the hospital where Ethan is being cared for, so she has been overseeing his care all day today. Dr. Bewley reports that Ethan has remained stable this evening and is doing well! He is eating and can sit up as long as he is being assisted. They picked him up to help him stand and he was able to hold some of his own weight for a short time, which is great. A big thank you to everyone who has reached out with their support and prayers. It means so much to all of us!
