After nine, excruciatingly long months, a dog named Maxx has grown weary of waiting for someone to adopt him. Two days ago, the Pennsylvania SPCA posted a video of the homeless pooch to social media, writing:
Maxx is literally, and figuratively, getting tired of waiting for his #furever family to come along. Maxx has been in our care for over 9 months, and while he has some quirks requiring a special family to adopt him, we know that family IS out there.
Adding a few details about his personality:
Maxx here. How much more handsome can I be to have someone want to adopt me? I’m affectionate, know basic cues (sit, down, shake, fetch) and I Iove to play and take walks. I’m a big guy and I do have a lot of energy but I’m also a champion snuggler and would be very happy to settle next to my person with a chew toy or a snooze.
According to the shelter, Maxx’s size and energy level requires that he join a household with experienced, adult dog owners. Maxx is described as “picky” about his canine friends, so a home without other pets would be ideal.
