A 20-year-old dog named Chedda lost her home not long ago, and now she is waiting for her second chance with a new family. The elderly min-pin mix was surrendered when her former owner decided that they could no longer care for her – she is now with the Young At Heart Senior Pet Rescue.

On Friday morning, the animal welfare agency Tweeted:

Age is just a number! And no one proves that better than 20-year-old Chedda! Chedda is ready to find that special someone who will spoil her for the rest of her days. Chedda is available for adoption within 150 miles of Woodstock IL.

Her adoption profile reads, in part:

This old girl has a funny little penguin walk from no longer being able to bend her knees easily, she has one whole tooth in her mouth that is so incredibly gross that it doesn’t even look like a tooth anymore, and her one little ear is crumpled from an old infection or injury. But it is also obvious that she was once very loved as she is a happy little girl. And now we focus on making sure the next chapter of her life is full of love and happiness.

Would you consider adding this older girl to your family? You can donate towards her care, or apply to adopt her, at this link.
