An 18+ year-old neglected poodle arrived at the Orange County Animal Care Center on May 27, 2021. The shelter named her Abigail.
The shelter has put out a plea asking for an approved rescue organization to take her today, June 1, 2021,when her stray hold period is up. Abigail has multiple medical issues which include ulcerated mammary masses, oronasal fistulas, eyes/ear issues, skin problems and spinal arthritis.

5-27-2021 Med Notes: Physical Exam: Key (Normal = X, Abnormal = notes listed) scanned: Neg behavior: QAR Head Mouth missing teeth, bilateal upper oronasal fistulas. re slurried food Ears yellow waxy d/c, hair, odor- cleaned and applied osurnia Eyes thick mucoid d/c OU with pigmentation, hyperemia OU. suspect KCS Skin Skin mammary masses, 3cm ulcerated mass R chain. r/o neoplasia Hair generlized alopecia Abdomen X Musculoskeletal BCS 2/9, muscle wasting over spine and rear extensive. severe kyphosis stance. suspect marked spinal arthritis Nervous system X Other – WNL, unless otherwise indicated rec senior workup. r/o neoplasia(mammry mass, ulcerated). rec hospice care at this time. consider humane euth if condition declining
