A 17-year-old dog in Fort Worth, Texas, finds herself in need of a new home after her family surrendered her with a “euthanasia request” which was denied. On Wednesday morning, Saving Hope Rescue posted images of the elderly dog, named Daisy, writing:

Daisy is 17 years old and was surrendered as a euthanasia request however that was DENIED and she has proven to still have some good life left in her.

According to the animal welfare agency, Daisy is fully vetted and heartworm negative. This darling senior is house-trained to use potty pads, and she is described as “cat and dog friendly.” The rescue agency hopes to find her a family without small children because she is so small, and she is completely deaf.

Are you interested in giving this lovely senior dog a place to spend the rest of her days? You can complete an adoption application at this link to Saving Hope Rescue.

  1. I grew up with chihuahuas. My husband and I both are working from home. No kids in our empty nest.
We would love to have this precious little treasure in our family!!!
