Two women in Las Vegas, Nevada, have been sentenced to probation time after abandoning two puppies in a cage and leaving them to die. As reported by Las Vegas Review Journal. The women, Esmeralda Martinez and Blanca Perez, pleaded guilty to charges from the June incident which left two eight-month-old terriers dead.

The horrific situation was discovered after neighbors reported a foul odor coming from an apartment on the 4300 block of Terrace Hills Road. Inside of the apartment, two large cages, draped in towels and littered with urine and feces, were the bodies of the abandoned puppies, Ace and Athena.

An investigation revealed that Martinez and Perez had left for Florida, locking the puppies away with no one in charge of providing them with care. The pups had been abandoned for 20 days before their bodies were found.

Martinez and Perez are sentenced to 18 months of probation and 200 hours of community service. If they successfully complete the terms of probation, the felony animal cruelty charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor.

Never CEASES to leave me speechless when HUMAN BEINGS get away with INTENTIONAL rape, abuse, neglect and BEATINGS of SO MANY ANIMALS to death. These sentences are ASTONISHING, REPULSIVE and INFURIATING, indicating that JUDGES do NOT give a shit how these LIVING, SENTIENT beings SUFFERED at the hands of these VILE THUGS, as THEY allow THEM to continue on with egregious VIOLENT acts, serving to bring TORTURE yet again to those with NO VOICE. And YOU PEOPLE just keep voting these judges in to office year after year. Next time YOU wonder why this continues, LOOK IN the mirror and YOU WILL see the PERSON responsible…..VOTE THESE JUDGES OUT, MAKE your other ELECTED OFFICIALS LEGISLATE LAWS that ACTUALLY serve to discourage these EVIL ACTS. In the old days, these DEMON spawned judges would have been HUNG by the townspeople, and I’M NOT joking, it’s in the history books folks. Back then judges either focused on the keeping the LAW ABIDING citizens SAFE or faced outright assault by the ENTIRE town.

I took the time to actually read Judge Bluth’s sentence. While I know the folks here work very hard to get this information out to us with as many facts as possible, a couple of noticeable aspects to their sentence was missed. One: they must also complete a 6 MONTH Animal Cruelty Course, two: must stay out of trouble and three: can NOT have anything PERSONALLY to do with ANY animals for 6 months. If they complete ALL these thresholds, then and only then, will their felony be downgraded to a misdemeanor. Her final terse statement to them: “this level of REAL animal cruelty can not and will not be tolerated.” This makes more sense to me, it was their first offense of any kind.
