In June, a woman moved out of her apartment in Hicksville, New York, and double-locked her dog inside of a cage, which was left in a basement. After neighbors reported a “foul smell” coming from the residence, the police investigated, and found the dog’s decomposing body inside, reports the New York Daily News.
The woman identified in the cruel abandonment case is 29-year-old Tiffany Adorno. Adorno’s apartment was described as being left in “deplorable condition.”
Adorno is charged with torturing/injuring animals and abandonment of animals.
