woman facing animal cruelty charges for dog's death

Woman accused of beating and drowning dog is facing cruelty charges

A Saugus, Massachusetts, woman is facing multiple charges of animal cruelty for allegedly beating and drowning her dog at a beach earlier this month. As reported by CBS Boston, witnesses claim that 58-year-old Susan Linares kicked her dog and then threw him into the ocean on July 12.

The horrifying incident happened at Revere Beach in front of shocked onlookers who rushed to help. The dog, a Chihuahua, died despite the efforts of good Samaritans who tried to save him.

Linares’ daughter, Tiffany Aquilina, tells the news agency that her mother is “not a very good person,” and claims that the woman suffers from mental illness. Linares is facing four counts of animal cruelty and other violations, and she could be put behind bars for up to seven years if she is convicted.

Her daughter should have taken her mother’s dog away from her before she killed him. I too hope she rots in jail! She will pay one way or another. I am tired of people treating animals like trash!
