Visually impaired senior dog in need of help
Spread the love

A gray-faced, visually-impaired senior dog finds herself in need of assistance. The 10-year-old old dog, named Beauty, has been at the Los Angeles County Animal Control Carson facility since June 5.

The volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, writes:

She is about 10 years old, VISUALLY IMPAIRED, she seems stiff in her back legs when she moves around and she is just so lost and confused.. this is a gentle senior that needs your help fast.

Saving Beauty

Few people walk into an animal shelter searching for an older dog, with visual impairments. It will take a networking army of compassionate people to help save this senior girl from an unthinkable fate.

  1. We have a blind dog. He doesn’t know that he is blind. He just does what he does….. let me tell you: he loves treats, Grammy and Grampy, car rides to their homes, he HATES the vet (& seems to know when he is going there & howls the whole way), bathie time (he splashes me so that I am as soaked as he is soaked)….. he loves when he is snuggled, loves tummy rubs, can steal food like any other thieving varmint, just wants to be with the family…….

The only thing that we do differently with a blind dog is we don’t rearrange the furniture……. otherwise they are exactly the same as any other dog!!!
