A viral video in Hong Kong showing a dog sticking its head dangerously out of the trunk of a car as it traveled down the highway wound up with police arresting the pooch’s 59-year-old owner.
According to the South China Morning Post, on Wednesday the video appeared on social media showing the dog with his head extending outside of the half opened trunk leaving the pup vulnerable to being thrown out the vehicle if the driver had to make a sudden stop. Detectives from the Wong Tai Sin district were able to identify the car, and on Thursday morning arrested the dog’s owner at his home; the dog appeared uninjured.
“Officers were told that the dog had been left in the vehicle’s car passenger seat, but climbed into the car boot,” a police officer reported.
The dog owner is required to report back to police in a month. The dog is currently in the car of the local SPCA.
The investigation continues. In Hong Kong, animal cruelty carries a maximum penalty of three years in jail and a maximum fine of $25,800.

I AM POSITIVE HONG KONG WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS KIND OF MENTAL ILLNESS!
the trunk should have been closed properly then the dog climbing back there wouldn’t have been a problem
