An injured dog just arriving at a high kill shelter in Texas needs urgent help. Meet Hershey; a Golden retriever blend who came in on the Animal Control truck Sunday morning. He is reported to be in serious pain.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has stepped up to help, but in these trying times need help more than ever.
“Coronavirus doesn’t stop the injured and abused dogs from needing help,” wrote Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of the non profit animal rescue on social media. “Dogs are at the highest risk ever of euthanasia, due to this pandemic and need us more than ever…. The sick dogs die first like Hershey…”

Hershey’s injuries are serious. His leg will need surgery at an estimated cost of $3,000 – not including his other injuries.
