In Sheveport, Louisiana, two youngsters were videoed abusing a dog. The heartbreaking footage showed the dog able to escape from the cruelty. Caddo Parish Animal Control is currently investigating the case.
The video showed one boy picking up a black and white dog – the dog obviously frightened as the child carried the defenseless pup to a street drain with running water puddled around it. The teen tried to drown the dog by submerging its head into the running water – fortunately the dog was able to escape. Laughter could be heard in the background. One kid could be heard saying the abuse was making them “famous,” and he wasn’t bothered or touched by authorities.
A followup clip showed one of the boys retrieve the dog again and throw it into a small pond of water – fortunately the dog was able to escape again.
The video was posted on Instagram and belonged to an account @blkbbydbo. The disturbing footage went viral after it was then published on Facebook.
The video was reported to authorities, and the Caddo Parish Animal Control is conducting an investigation.
“…I spoke with director Clark on Friday when we were first made aware of it. He had already been made aware and launched an investigation,” wrote Angie Willhite, a police spokesperson for the Sheveport Police reported the Shreveport Times.
