On Tuesday, two people and a dog were killed on train tracks in Ventura, California. According to ABC 7 News, the people were walking over a bridge near Auto Center and Johnson when they heard a train approaching.
The two people ran for safety, but the dog got stuck on the tracks. The people ran back to try and free the dog, but all three wound up being hit and killed by the speeding train. A social media post by a friend of the deceased described the dog as an elderly female pit bull named Kaya who was her owner’s “pride and joy.”
The identity of the people killed in the tragic accident has not yet been released.

How heartbreaking, My mother always told us not to walk on train tracks, I wish these people had followed such advice. Rest in peace to them and their dog, they are in heaven together.
I am very sorry that two people and their dog were all killed…… a senseless tragedy…….
I don’t understand why people think that it’s OK to walk on the train tracks (or “race the train”)….. you vs. a 60 ton locomotive……. the train ALWAYS wins…….
