Turtle crippled by cruel children

A painted turtle has been crippled, and may not survive, after an attack by cruel children. The tragic situation was recounted to followers of the Wise Wildlife Control Services Facebook page on May 19:

Thank you to the family who brought a Painted Turtle in to us today. This Turtle was the targeted attack by some kids. Both front legs have been smashed and pulverized as well 1 rear leg has been broken.

According to the British Columbia wildlife agency, the attack left the turtle too injured to swim – all he could do was push himself forward with his rear legs. The turtle was taken to a veterinarian for care, but his outcome “does not look good.”

The incident has been reported. The agency stated:

It is against the law to harm any wildlife. This incident has been reported to the RAPP (BC Conservation Officers Reporting) line. We hope that we will be able to catch these individuals.

Please do your part and be diligent to report any illegal activity to the RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277

My parents would have severely punished me and my siblings if we harmed wildlife…….

This poor precious little treasure didn’t deserve to be harmed like this….. mangled and crushed for the amusement of pos brats…… how many others have suffered and not been discovered???
