A badly neglected dog was rescued from a dumpster in Madison County, Indiana last week. Someone had thrown the young pit bull mix away like unwanted trash…but today she is safe and receiving the care that she needs to recover at the Madison County Humane Society.
After being rescued, a social media post by the shelter’s manager recounts the pup’s sad situation:
She is SO sweet, even though shes in pain and itchy. She was FOUND IN A DUMPSTER. This is what someone allowed her to look like. This is one of the worst cases of mange I have ever seen. Mange, yeast, infection on top of infection.
The dog has been dubbed Nestle, and she is being treated for her maladies. Donations for her care can be made to the Madison County Humane Society on its Facebook page or website.
