A woman was arrested and is facing charges after officials found three dead dogs, and multiple neglected dogs, were discovered at her Kane County, Illinois, residence. According to multiple sources, 27-year-old Emily Chesterfield is identified as the owner of the residence located in an unincorporated area near St. Charles.
Chesterfield is facing charges for misdemeanor counts of cruel treatment to animals and a count of animal owner’s duties. Another person is also charged – according to the Chicago Sun Times, William Chesterfield, a relative of Emily’s, was supposed to be caring for the animals. He is charged with failure to supply proper food and water.
The surviving dogs were taken in by the Kane County Animal Control – they are in “varying degrees of health” reports NBC Chicago.

Providing food and water for your pets is not difficult (bathing an unwilling cat IS very difficult)……. Food and water and shelter are the basics. Very easy to provide!!! One can always take a pet to the groomer for bathing and nail trims…….
If a person is not willing to provide food, water & shelter, they should NOT have any pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
