Ten neglected puppies were discovered on Thursday in Alabama on the side of a road where temperatures exceeded 100+ degrees. They were all very sick and needed immediate rescue and veterinary care.
It is not known who dumped the five-pound little ones to languish in the heat. Rescuers say the puppies come from two different litters. How can people be so cruel?
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC were notified and immediately stepped up to help; the puppies were severely dehydrated and full of worms. The little ones spent the night at an Alabama veterinarian in order to receive emergency care. Early Friday morning, the puppies were gathered together and headed to the organization’s partner veterinarian in Georgia.
