A teen has been identified and arrested following an investigation which was sparked by a viral Snapchat video showing a puppy being thrown and punched. As reported by News 9, a 13-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday in Clinton, Oklahoma.
The cruelty investigation began after the disturbing video surfaced last weekend. Investigators were able to track down the puppy from the video and she is now safely out of harm’s way. Clinton police Chief Paul Rinkel stated:
The people of Clinton and the area, everybody banded together all with the same mission and that was to locate this animal and save this animal. Everybody working together is what allowed us to recover her safely.
The puppy is in good condition and does not appear to have lasting injury from the alleged abuse in the video. The teen was taken to a juvenile detention center.
