Ramby had no idea her owner decided to surrender her to the Harris County Animal Shelter on Saturday. After all, the Labrador retriever and German shepherd blend thought she was going for an exciting car ride – maybe on a new adventure?

No one knows why the seven-year-old, 62-pound pup was surrendered. Surely knowing her background would have aided with her future adoption. A volunteer wrote:
“…Now look at this girl!! She had absolutely no idea what she was in for. “…She is completely heartbroken and devastated knowing that her owner abandoned her. Can someone please go adopt or rescue Ramby? Her sad little heart needs to be put back together…”
